Rules at a glance

Standard four-color board. With two players, each controls two colors; three players share the fourth color.

Your goal

Finish with the highest score: subtract unplayed squares and add the rulebook’s bonuses if you place every piece.

The flow of play

  1. Place each color’s first piece so that it covers its starting corner

  2. On later turns, place a piece touching its own color at a corner, with no shared edges

  3. Continue until no color can place a piece, then score remaining squares and completion bonuses

A quick introduction to the base game. Use your edition’s rulebook for full setup, card effects and exceptions.
